Soils are the quiet achiever in agricultural and ecological systems; they are the cornerstone of food and fibre production, and play an important role in mitigating climate change and hosting biodiversity. 2015 is the United Nations International Year of Soils and to celebrate, NSW Department of Primary Industries and the ACT Regional Landcare Facilitator are bringing together local soil scientists and researchers, farmers and others with a keen interest in soil to explore current research and on-farm practices.
