Erosion repair techniques using small farm machinery
– plus see results from Sunnyside
Cam Wilson of Earth Integral will present this workshop.
In February 2016 Cam Wilson engaged many landholders in a hands-on workshop designed to show landholders how to repair smaller scale landscape erosion using low cost materials. The work was all carried out by hand, using mostly materials from around the farm, and was designed to stop active erosion, kickstart natural repair processes in gullies and begin the rehydration of the surrounding landscape.
This year we intend to run a follow up workshop which will look at techniques which can be utilised with small machines of the capability typically available on many farms.
As an added feature we will be revisiting the work performed more than 12 months earlier to witness and discuss results.
